A native of Houma, Louisiana, Lindsey Navarro holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from St Peter’s University and an MBA from Loyola University of New Orleans. She was the first bilingual loan officer on the Delta team of LiftFund, formerly Accion Texas Inc. In 2013 she served as the Director of Outreach for La Idea, a public-private partnership whose mission was to connect entrepreneurial members of the Latin American Diaspora to their counter parts in Latin America through an International Business Pitch Competition organized by the Accion US Network office. She worked hand in hand with the US State Department, US Agency for International Development (USAID), and Univision leading national roadshows and online messaging for the program. Ms. Navarro served as the Director of Business Support for the Delta Region where she specialized in developing, coordinating and implementing educational workshops for LiftFund throughout Louisiana, Arkansas, Tennessee and the Delta States. She worked closely with lending staff volunteer experts and community stakeholders to design specialized seminars for business owners in rural and urban markets. Over the last three years, she has provided consulting and one-on-one technical assistance to more than 500 business owners. She currently serves as a Senior Business Development officer and has helped to deploy more than $1,000,000 in microloans to Latino entrepreneurs operating within the Greater New Orleans Area and the Delta states particularly South Louisiana, Arkansas and Alabama.
